These are the countries we intend to visit:

- Kazachstan
- Uzbekistan
- Turkmenistan
- Iran
- Armenia
- Georgia
After that, we will cross the Black Sea towards Ukraine, continuing north through Belarus and the Baltic states to reach Helsinki before Christmas.

Thank you for an interesting an honest update. I must say that you finished your traineeship quite early, having in mind that it is a 2 year assignment with stardate at August 30th of 2006. In reality you cut it 3,5 weeks short....:) I wish I had done the same and returned to Norway today. I just returned to work after 3 weeks of holiday, ready to complete my last 3,5 weeks before completion. This morning my boss told me that it is very quiet now, and it will take almost 2 weeks before the next Renewal survey starts..In other words webcourses and reading IS is on this week's agenda. Not very motivating after spending 3 weeks of holidays with my girlfriend who had to return to Norway..Well it is only 3,5 weeks, of drowning myself in work....
I have added your blog to my favourites, and I am really looking fwd to following your journey across Asia/Europe. I envy your exploring lust and passion, and wish I could have completed such a journey. I remember backpacking in Central America. It was a fantastic trip into areas where few Norwegians have been before, but I realized quite fast that they could not speak a word of English (of course), not even in the bigger cities. I therefore had to learn survival Spanish in some weeks, but I guess that is nothing compared to what you will encounter. I would like to be a flie on the wall when you and Hanna are trying to book a horse caravan in Kirgistan, 1st class. And just to make it worse, Hanna wants to know if it can be refunded if you choose not to travel on that day....:)
Remember to be patient and not build up a temper in the times of confusion. A smile can take you a long way. And don't ask the gerilja soldiers if you can hold their Kalashnikovs....Enough advices.
