As we took it easy in Samarkand, Floris had plenty of time to make a sketch of the famous Registan. The real thing is even more impressive!

Alweer een prachtige tekening! Wij volgen jullie route van dichtbij. We zoeken verdere info over de plaatsen op internet en in allerhande boeken. Kijk ook eens naar Flickr Samarkand. Prachtige foto's van de locatie en de ruimere streek waar jullie nu zijn.

Wow, what an artist you are, Floris. But, as you are from "Vlanderland" - as Rembrandt, Rubens, van Gogh... - it must be something in the air or soil there. Also your photos indicate an eye for visual qualities...
You two have traveled quite a distance by now, seen a lot. We are following all your adventures from our arm chairs. Up here in the North it has been autumn like since a month, getting darker quickly. Thank you for another nice snailmail post card from Jalal-Abad, giving an exotic and unique touch to our fridge.
